Kilimanjaro Climb, Lemosho Route
What This Trip Covers
Lemosho starts on the west side of the mountain, away from the crowds on Machame and Marangu. Fewer people, more wilderness, at least for the first few days. The route eventually joins Machame near Barranco Camp, then follows the same path to the top. The real difference is time. Lemosho spends eight days on the mountain, instead of six or seven. Why does that matter? More days means more chances for the body to adjust before the summit push. Success rates here beat both Marangu and Machame. Remote start, gradual climb, the best odds of the three at reaching Uhuru Peak.
